Goldman Sachs and Boston Scientific fall premarket; Morgan Stanley, TSMC rise

U.S. stock futures edged higher Thursday, as geopolitical tensions eased while investors digested more key banking earnings.

Here are some of the biggest premarket U.S. stock movers today:

Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) stock fell 1.4% despite the banking giant’s profit rising in the fourth quarter, fueled by dealmaking, stronger trading revenues in a turbulent market and a one-time gain from exiting its credit card partnership with Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) stock gained 1.1% after the investment bank reported a rise in fourth-quarter profit as its investment bankers reaped a windfall from deals in the fourth quarter. 

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE:TSM) stock gained 6.2% after the world’s largest contract chipmaker posted stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter net profit thanks to outsized artificial intelligence demand.

Spotify Technology (NYSE:SPOT) stock rose 0.7% after the music streaming service said it would raise the price of its premium subscription service from $11.99 per month to $12.99 for existing subscribers in the U.S., Estonia and Latvia. 

BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) stock gained 1.8% after the world’s largest asset manager saw its assets under management reach $14 trillion following record quarterly net inflows of $342 billion.

Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) stock fell 3.5% after the company announced plans to buy Penumbra in a deal valued at about $14.5 billion to expand its vascular pipeline.

GE HealthCare Technologies NASDAQ:GEHC) stock fell 1.8% after UBS downgraded its stance on the health technologies company to “sell” from “neutral”, saying the current share price already captures what it describes as best-case execution for tariff mitigation efforts and new product launches. 

Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) stock rose 1.9% after Barclays upgraded the tech company to “overweight” from “equal weight” amid growing confidence in the company’s position across AI servers as well as improving opportunities in enterprise server and storage markets.
