Canadian technology company Predictiv AI has announced the launch of Flockentis, an artificial intelligence-powered decision engine designed to help fleet and logistics operators improve operational planning, reduce costs and manage transportation requirements more efficiently.
The product was developed by the company's subsidiary, Shift Technologies Canada, and is offered through its Shift AI platform, which focuses on applying advanced analytics and AI to commercial fleet operations.
Flockentis combines several operational factors, including fleet availability, delivery schedules, driver working hours, vehicle capacity, regulatory obligations, operating costs and estimated carbon emissions, into a coordinated planning system.
The platform can assess up to 5,000 jobs during a planning cycle and generate three alternative operational plans, allowing businesses to compare strategies focused on profitability, service performance or reduced environmental impact.
Unlike traditional fleet management tools that primarily track vehicles and analyze historical activity, Flockentis aims to support decisions before dispatch, helping operators evaluate resources, delivery commitments and commercial performance.
Predictiv AI has also initiated a proof-of-concept project with a commercial fleet operator in the United Kingdom to assess the technology's performance under real operating conditions.
Suman Pushparajah, Chief Executive Officer of Predictiv AI, emphasized the importance of providing transportation businesses with tools that balance operational efficiency, customer service, regulatory compliance and commercial profitability.
The company plans to use feedback from the UK evaluation to guide further product development and potential commercialization, as it explores opportunities to expand its technology into international logistics markets.
