Orange Egypt has announced a strategic partnership with UAE-based fintech platform Botim to enable customers to send international money transfers directly from the United Arab Emirates to Orange Cash mobile wallets in Egypt.
The collaboration aims to simplify cross-border remittances by allowing Egyptian residents in the UAE to transfer funds through the Botim application, with recipients receiving money directly into their Orange Cash accounts.
Under the agreement, customers in the UAE can initiate transfers around the clock, while beneficiaries in Egypt can access the received funds through their mobile wallets.
Recipients can use the money for everyday financial activities, including bill payments, purchases, transfers and cash withdrawals.
The service connects Botim's network of more than two million Egyptian users with Orange Cash's customer base of approximately ten million customers.
Orange Egypt said its mobile wallet users can access cash withdrawal services through more than 300,000 cash-out points nationwide, including Orange stores, ATMs and authorized retailers.
Ahmed El Abd, Chief Consumer Business Unit Officer at Orange Egypt, emphasized the importance of providing accessible digital remittance services that allow customers to receive money conveniently and securely.
The partnership comes amid growing demand for digital financial services among expatriate communities, particularly individuals who regularly send funds to family members in their home countries.
For Orange Egypt, the collaboration strengthens the capabilities of Orange Cash and expands its role in international financial transactions.
For Botim, it supports the platform's transformation from a communication application into a broader financial technology ecosystem offering digital payments and cross-border money transfers.
The initiative reflects the increasing integration of telecommunications, financial technology and international payment services across the Middle East.
