OTC Markets Group has appointed Meighan McGowan as Executive Vice President of Corporate Services, strengthening its senior leadership team as the US financial markets operator continues developing its international issuer services.
In her new position, McGowan will lead the company's global corporate services sales team, which works with businesses seeking access to US investors through OTC Markets Group's regulated trading markets.
These include the OTCQX Best Market, OTCQB Venture Market and OTCID Basic Market, which provide different market structures for US and international securities.
McGowan joins OTC Markets Group from Computershare, where she served as Head of Business Development for Investor Engagement in North America.
At Computershare, she oversaw business development and commercial initiatives involving corporate advisory services, investor intelligence and investor relations technology.
Before joining Computershare, she held a senior business development position at Morrow Sodali, advising publicly traded companies on corporate governance, shareholder engagement, proxy solicitation and investor relations.
She also spent six years at Institutional Shareholder Services, progressing from Senior Account Executive to Vice President.
Her professional background includes working with corporate executives, asset managers and institutional investors on matters involving shareholder relationships and capital markets.
As Executive Vice President of Corporate Services, McGowan will be based in New York and report directly to Cromwell Coulson, President and Chief Executive Officer of OTC Markets Group.
The company operates regulated trading markets supporting more than 12,000 US and international securities, providing market infrastructure and disclosure services to listed companies and financial market participants.
Her appointment comes as international businesses continue exploring ways to broaden their exposure to US investors and strengthen their relationships with global capital markets.
McGowan's experience in investor engagement and corporate advisory services is expected to support the continued development of OTC Markets Group's corporate services division and its relationships with international issuers.
