BNB Standard Appoints Alex Odagiu as CEO and Announces Plans for BNB Chain Validator

BNB Standard Corporation (Nasdaq: BNC) has appointed Alex Odagiu as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 19, 2026, as the company strengthens its leadership and expands its cryptocurrency treasury strategy within the BNB Chain ecosystem.

Odagiu, who previously served as Interim President and a member of the Board of Directors, will assume responsibility for the company's executive operations while continuing to serve on its board. His appointment follows a formal executive search conducted by a committee led by board member Matthew Roszak.

Before joining BNB Standard in June 2026, Odagiu was an Investment Partner at YZi Labs, where he supported investments in blockchain projects, digital assets, and companies operating within the BNB Chain ecosystem. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs International.

During his tenure as Interim President, Odagiu helped oversee the company's transition from CEA Industries to BNB Standard, including the launch of its updated corporate website and digital asset treasury dashboard.

Alongside the leadership announcement, BNB Standard unveiled plans to operate its own validator on BNB Chain, expanding its involvement in blockchain infrastructure beyond cryptocurrency treasury management.

The planned validator will operate under the company's governance, with technical operations managed by a specialist infrastructure provider selected through a competitive process. BNB Standard confirmed that its treasury assets will remain with qualified custodians throughout the staking process.

The initiative is designed to deepen the company's participation in the BNB ecosystem, although validator operations have not yet launched and future staking rewards are not guaranteed.

As CEO, Odagiu will focus on strengthening the company's digital asset holdings, developing blockchain-based business opportunities, and attracting greater institutional interest in the BNB ecosystem.

The appointment reflects the continued evolution of publicly traded cryptocurrency treasury companies as they explore operating businesses, blockchain infrastructure, and new revenue opportunities alongside their digital asset holdings.
