VT Markets Promotes Ross Maxwell to Chief Strategy Officer

VT Markets has promoted Ross Maxwell to Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), expanding his responsibilities as the multi-asset broker strengthens its long-term strategy around platform development, international growth and corporate governance.

Maxwell moves into the executive position after previously serving as Global Strategy & Operations Lead at VT Markets, where his work covered market intelligence, educational initiatives and broader strategic and operational projects. His promotion gives him a wider mandate across the company’s global business.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Maxwell will lead VT Markets’ long-term strategic direction, with responsibilities spanning platform innovation, global expansion and corporate governance.

His remit will also include responsible trading frameworks and initiatives involving AI-driven financial literacy, as the broker works to combine technology, market access and education within a more integrated trading ecosystem.

Maxwell said the new role represents more than a title change, giving him the opportunity to take a broader view of the company’s direction and how its long-term ambitions can be translated into execution.

He emphasized that effective strategy requires organizations to remain adaptable as markets evolve, technology changes the way people trade and invest, and client expectations continue to increase. His focus will be on connecting VT Markets’ long-term vision with clearer priorities and stronger execution.

Maxwell joined VT Markets with more than 20 years of investment and trading experience across London and Hong Kong. The company initially brought him into its global strategy operation to support strategic initiatives while contributing market analysis and educational content for traders.

During his previous role, he also contributed to VT Markets’ market research activities, including the company’s 2026 Global Market Outlook, where he authored its equities analysis covering global and US markets, economic drivers, sector opportunities and potential risks.

His promotion now broadens that involvement beyond market intelligence and education into areas including product development, business expansion and governance.

The leadership move comes as VT Markets works to develop a more unified multi-asset trading offering and increase the connection between traditional financial markets, technology and emerging asset classes.

The broker says it currently provides access to more than 1,000 financial instruments and maintains a presence across more than 160 countries.

VT Markets itself described Maxwell’s move as a natural progression, noting that he has already played an important role in shaping how the business thinks, plans and approaches its future direction.

With his promotion to Chief Strategy Officer, Ross Maxwell will now play a broader role in determining how VT Markets develops its platform, approaches international growth and translates its strategic ambitions into long-term business initiatives.
