Murex and Google Cloud Partner to Bring MX.3 Capital Markets Platform to Google Cloud

Murex and Google Cloud have announced a strategic partnership that will enable financial institutions to deploy Murex’s MX.3 capital markets platform on Google Cloud, expanding the cloud options available to banks, asset managers and other financial firms. The agreement was announced on September 23, 2026.

MX.3 is Murex’s cross-asset platform for trading, treasury, risk management, post-trade operations and investment management. According to Murex, the platform is used by more than 60,000 daily users across 65 countries, spanning sell-side, buy-side, energy and commodities institutions.

Under the partnership, Murex clients will be able to run MX.3 workloads on Google Cloud infrastructure, including data-intensive functions such as market risk, counterparty risk and intraday analytics. The companies also highlighted operational resilience, security and simplified cloud operations as key areas of the collaboration.

The deal comes as financial institutions continue moving critical capital-markets workloads to cloud environments while balancing regulatory, operational resilience and security requirements. Murex said several clients have already begun exploring the possibility of running MX.3 on Google Cloud.

Google Cloud said the partnership combines its cloud infrastructure, data analytics and AI capabilities with Murex’s capital-markets technology, while Murex said the agreement gives clients greater flexibility when choosing cloud deployment models.

For capital-markets firms, the partnership broadens deployment options for systems used across trading, risk and post-trade workflows, while also supporting multi-cloud strategies and regulated cloud transformation.
