Nucleus Financial has appointed Dave Reynolds as Chief Technology Officer, strengthening its senior leadership team as the UK wealthtech group continues to invest in technology, transformation and operational development.
Reynolds is expected to take up the role at the start of January 2027, subject to regulatory approval. In addition to leading the group’s technology function, he will also oversee transformation and change across Nucleus, giving the CTO position a broader remit across the business.
He joins Nucleus from Quilter, where he has spent around eight years and most recently served as Group Chief Information Officer. Before that, Reynolds held senior technology positions across Quilter and Old Mutual Wealth, building extensive experience in large-scale technology strategy, infrastructure modernisation and financial-services transformation.
Reynolds will succeed Jenny Thorpe, who is set to leave Nucleus at the end of 2026 to pursue a new opportunity. He is also expected to join the group’s executive leadership team as Nucleus continues to develop its adviser and wealth-management technology capabilities.
Nucleus provides platform and technology services to financial advisers and wealth managers across the UK, supporting portfolio, investment and pension management. The group currently oversees around £117 billion in assets, making technology and operational efficiency increasingly important to its growth strategy.
The appointment reflects Nucleus’ continued focus on modernising its technology infrastructure and improving its platform capabilities as digital transformation becomes an increasingly important part of the UK wealth-management sector.
