Deriv Open-Sources Enterprise AI Platform Deriv One to Expand Access to Governed Automation

Online trading provider Deriv has released Deriv One, its self-hosted enterprise artificial intelligence platform, as open-source software under the MIT licence, allowing developers and organizations to deploy the technology without relying on a proprietary vendor account.

The platform was originally developed internally to manage the increasing use of AI agents and automated workflows across Deriv's business operations.

As adoption expanded, the company identified a growing need to establish consistent controls over which employees and automated systems could access particular AI capabilities.

Deriv One addresses this challenge through a centralized environment combining an AI workspace, a catalogue of approved skills, agent registration and a development laboratory that allows users to create and deploy tools using natural-language instructions.

According to Deriv, its internal skills catalogue contains 221 capabilities contributed by 54 employees across different departments, demonstrating the platform's use beyond a single technology team.

The system also supports role-based access, sandboxing and integration with compatible AI model gateways, including locally hosted models.

The launch forms part of Deriv's wider strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into its operations. Under Chief Executive Officer Rakshit Choudhary, the company has established a target of automating 75% of manual workflows by the end of 2026.

Deriv's newly appointed Chief Technology Officer, Rotimi Akinyele, has emphasized the importance of secure access, governance and reliable infrastructure when companies introduce AI agents into daily business activities.

By making Deriv One publicly available, the brokerage is extending an internally developed automation framework to a wider developer community while highlighting the growing role of enterprise AI within the online trading industry.
